Striking translucent pink cubes with glassy luster, formed through brine evaporation in arid salt lakes. Distinctive "sugar druzy" surfaces and micro-cubic clusters. Color originates from trace iron oxides and halophilic bacteria. Exceptional specimens feature hematite inclusions or botryoidal growth on trona matrix. Prized for extreme fragility (Mohs 2.5) and solubility – intact large clusters signify rarity.
